What can I expect?
If you've been dying to see Hamilton, this is your shot. We can't overstate the phenomenon of Hamilton, which won nearly every award out there when it premiered in 2016. Writer Lin-Manuel Miranda's score is jam-packed with showstoppers that blend hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway. The young and talented cast takes the tale of the Founding Fathers, dusts it off, and tells the story in a fresh and powerful way.
Alexander Hamilton was just a teenage immigrant from the West Indies when he began rising up the political ladder, thanks to his impressive intellect and his hunger for success. Hamilton eventually becomes George Washington's right-hand man. But Hamilton's story is complicated by fierce rivalries, illicit love affairs, and the political turmoil that surrounds the Revolutionary War. What kind of mark will Hamilton leave—and what kind of country will he help to form?
This is the story of America then, as told by America now.
